Many of the children had been placed with family members, foster parents or different shelters at the end of 2009. With less children we were able to do a lot of work that couldn't be done with a shelter full of children.

It's been a lot of hard work and long hours, but it's nice to see everything complete!
Because of all of the work that needed to be done in the shelter, we haven't been accepting new children. But now that everything is finished we have started taking babies again. On Friday we received a precious 2 week old baby boy. He will be staying at the shelter until an adoptive family is found for him.
